Looking over v13 at the moment. I recall a new feature about picture compression, but can’t find anything about it in the program. It doesn’t appear to do it automatically. I inserted a 500kb jpg that blew out to 10mb. Any ideas on this?
G’day Chris! In what context? photoboard? GE image to locate bushland, dams, streams? Photo of existing structure on worksheet? Format? pdf? jpg? TIFF? bmp? RAW?
https://www.cadsoft.com/products/v13-home-design-software-updates/ “Images that have been imported into Envisioneer are now compressed so they don’t inflate your file size. This will help reduce lag in a model that has incorporated a larger image files, increasing your productivity.” Generally importing images into worksheet is what I think it is about. I did a comparison test between v12 and13 with same images inserted. I have to eat humble pie and report that the v12 drawing ended up double the filesize of the v13 drawing. I am unsure why my original ‘blowout ‘ happened.
