When trying to snap a 2×4 interior wall with1/2″ dry wall both sides to a 2×6 exterior wall with 1/2″ drywall on the interior surface ( inside right angle corner) it takes forever to get the interior surface to align. When I do finally get it by adjusting the nudge distance it seems that it misbehaves and shows a joint on rendered views and a funky miter representation in 2-d. I’m sure I am missing something here. Guidance would be greatly appreciated

A screenclip or 3 would help.
Is this at a re-entrant corner?

Thanks, Merv. I actually worked it out. Intead of trying to adjust with the nudge tool when the dynamic dimensions showed a zero value, the value was not actaully zero. I decided to click on the dim and manually set it to zero and the wall snapped in alignment. Apparently, my problem was a tolerence setting in the dimension set up. Depending on the rounded value set even if only 1/16″, it may be that you get a “0” reading in a tight condition using dynamic dimensions. So “0” could be whatever the closet rounded value is. in my case, it was just enough to offset the wall face I was trying to align creating a seam when viewed with a 3-D camera.

That’s why I have my units set to 0.1mm so dynamic dims display more accurately.
Of course, dimension styles are still set “to the millimetre” generally (but not all styles I use)
