    Hi Everyone,

I havent been posting for a while.

I would like to say all the best for 2024!

My concern is that the Framing does not adjust for Pocket/Cavity Sliding doors.

    I usually allow…width of door x 2 + 50mm (2″) for the Cavity frame work.

Would you be able to check this for me please. I have a small example I have uploaded.

    Cheers Everyone.

    Hi Alex,

Thanks for sending in your question and all the best to you and yours in 2024 as well.

Before I investigate this further, I want to be sure I understand what you are looking for. I am attaching an image of what a pocket door frame looks like, is this what you were expecting?

    Thanks Alex,

    G’day Alex!

    Long time no chat

But I can’t remember Envisioneer EVER framing around cavity sliders (aka pocket doors) correctly.

The opening in the wall frame is NEVER wide enough.

If there’s a trick to getting it like we build here in Oz, I’ve never been able to find it.

2D plan view showing opening should be just 1 stud from the wall intersection
