I HAVE CHANGE MY LINE WEIGHTS TO TONE THINGS DOWN IN WORKSHEET VIEW

BUT NO VISUAL CHANGES IN WORKSHEET VIEW EVEN THOUGH LINE WEIGHT REPORT PROPER WIDTHS I ENTERED

TRIED RECREATING SMARTVIEWS BUT STILL SAME OLD LINE WEIGHTS BEING SHOWN ON DRAWING

Are you referring to printed line weights or just what is displayed on screen in worksheet view?

PROGRAM SETTINGS – WORKSPACE – LINEWORK Have you elected to “Show Line Weights”

i have show line weights checked

just want to tone down lineweights on plotting

i have changed them in my library but they do not changed in worksheet view or plotting – how do i get them to change in plotting and worksheet view – i need to be able to control this – i change them in my library for lineweights but they do not change anywhere

i complete my construction drawings in worksheet view since that is the intended logic of envisioneer

due to limitation that you have to put text and dims in the default model space is a giant limitation for this software

i would like to see line weights in model space and all the snaps and drafting tools should be available in model space – i do not like to have to jump to worksheet view to do some detailed layout then copy it back to model space because of lack of drafting options

i would have a list of suggestions for this software as for any other

i work with revit and autocad mostly – envisioneer is a great software package but from a day to day production tool they need to make some changes in the model space area especially – i have suggested that smartviews should be created also be created from model views and not just locations – i started making model space views to use as smartviews but quickly found out about the default model view the only space i can enter text and dims WTF envisioneer

working in worksheet view to complete cd’s causes a lot of jumping back and forth and i need tools in model space that is where we work the most

thanks for your response i am looking for experienced envisioneer people to communicate with – i have been working with cad packages since autocad 2.1 with the black screen

Check the Properties of all inserted elements. Linework tab, check if Linetypes=ByLayer. Then check the Layers dailogue to see what has been set there.

Merv (Envisioneer since 2.5 but my memory predates DDR so it can’t be certain whether I was introduced to Acad R7 or R9. And I’ve seen more BSOD’s than is good for one’s mental health – R12 & 13 for Windows . . . & running the most customized menu ever seen on the planet – worked gr8 in DOS but it sure dive-bombed Windows resources!)

the layer settings control it just fine like you said

just the line weights sizes have to be a lot smaller like “very light” then work my way back from there

did not know what setting controlled window sills 2D lineweight – but when i did a global change it changed what i needed just not sure what layers window sills are on besides window categories

do you know how they are putting crown molding up along ceiling changes and pan ceilings?

    thanks

There are still crown moulding issues with raked ceilings, ends of nib walls
