How do I do a simple change of the appearance of the Trim in one room?

I have recently done a quantum leap, from V10 to V17, and, while most things are the same, I have got totally lost in the wall Trim.  It was a simple matter previously, to change the colour of  the trim (to see how a repaint of a room would look, for example) but now, from what I can make out, it appears a whole now Trim Package has to be created and then the Trim replaced. Is  that right, or am I missing something obvious?

I found deleting the default trim and adding a trim pkg with specific components that I want. Caution about assigning to Left, Right or Both / Interior / Exterior. Takes some getting used to, but it is a great improvement . Now if we can just get trim to wrap around stub walls and openings

Thanks for the reply Jeffery. So a new Trim Package is the old way to change the Trim (except the Paintbrush)

I did use the Paintbrush, which is tedioud) and it changes the Trim, but I then saw what you mean about the Trim not wrapping around the openings. After painting the trim and then the wall edge, I ended up with a narrow strip of white around the window, so I zoomed in close to Paint it and the whole wall became my timber colour!

Now I don’t know how to change that strip of wall colour inside the window opening! Presumably the Trim package does not include a frame inside the opening. Surely it must? Or is the inner frame not wide enough, leaving a bit of wall showing?

If you open the wall components, select the core and change the appearence to the color you want it seems to do the trick.
