<p style=”text-align: left;”>I seem to be stuck on something simple. In 3D view, I see a gap between the terrain and the foundation and another gap between the ground floor and the second floor. I assume that this allows for floor framing but it doesn’t show up in framing view and it makes the rendering look fragmented. I’m sure that this is a rookie mistake, but I would appreciate some guidance. Thanks!

All I can think of is that the walls by default have a setting in properties listed as ‘d. Lower Exterior Face’ , This creates a exterior surface that covers the band (floor jst)… You may have changed that too small or need to increase it because you are using a deeper floor joist.

If that in not the case, then your math is wrong in Location settings. You have to reduce floor level settings to close the gap.

<p style=”text-align: center;”>You’re right about the lower exterior face being too small. Thank you! I still don’t see any floor framing in any view, and I started with the building wizard. When I turn on framing view, all I see is blue sky between the ground floor and the second floor. Thanks again.

You need to insert a floor system for that to dissappear, my guess is you don’t have a structural floor system installed if that happens.
