Decking joist direction

bainoParticipantThis deck was done with the Landscape Decks command. I want the decking to go long directional, but can’t get it to happen. I need to be able to rotate the joists 90 deg. They need to be single span. Is this achievable, or should I be creating it as a structural floor instead?

conweParticipantYou need to create it using a structural floor, I think that’s something they should fix because the joists always run the same way you can adjust it to 45 degree but doesn’t let you do more. I usually don’t worry bout it and just hope the customer doesn’t notice it on the 3d. But if someone else has a solution I’d like to hear it.

May 13, 2022 at 7:39 pm #15317bainoParticipantYou can rotate the deck/joist direction. Right click on the outer edge of the deck and select “set deck Direction”. A bit tricky to work out, but you need to drag mouse in the direction you want.
