Is it possible to change the snap settings from say the center of the core to a different location say the inside surface or edge of the core or something else if needed?

Also, is there a setting that will enlarge or darken the blue snap squares? My computer exceeds the minimum requirements by a good measure but my screen resolution is far greater. This makes seeing the blue snap squares very difficult to see even when zoomed way in. I tried to change my resolution to a lesser setting but it only looks right at the recommended setting of 3840×2160

i have 2gb dedicated nvidia ge force 940mx with the latest driver installed

I’ve never been able to snap to the edge of a door frame etc but have no problem snapping to wall intersections etc. Just a pity snap over-rides are only available in worksheet view.
I also am running a UHD screen. Have you tried increasing Pixel Search Distance (Programme Settings – Drawing Aids)

Any of the Layout tools snap to corners inside/ sheathing / exerior corners. I use the circle many times which adds a snap node.
Doors and Windows only have center nodes and no interaction with Layout line / circle tools. But you can zoom in, place as circles node quite accurately and have a snap point.
