    Hello all – (hello Cadsoft?)

I have recently purchased the software (v.16) and have only now noticed the very limited (and static) cabinet section.

The cabinets would be acceptable if they were able to be 100% modified, but there are a few essential details missing that cannot be “tweeaked” and I cannot seem to find other cabinet libraries on line.  BIM libraries made for Revit do not work.

I checked this forum and the last mention of cabinets was from 2021…

Does anyone have any cabinet updates/ libraries they can share ?

    Thank you in advance

    Jon

    Hello Jon,

That’s something I tried to get them to update the cabinets are not good. Way outdated.

I’ve been using this software since 2015 or so…

No…cabinet updates are not on their list of priorities…

But you can now (since you bought v16) place corner doors & windows,,,isn’t that just as useful?

    Hey Sds,

    Hope you’re staying busy!

I have a questions for you, do you know of any software that is really good to make and create timber frame structures and trusses with, something that

that you can get really detailed with, enough to show all the mortise and tenons cuts in rafters, posts and beams?

I am currently doing it in autocad but thought you might know of a better software that would have some 3d capabilities.

    Thanks Conrad

    Hi,

There are a couple more cabinet options on our BIM catalogs page here:
    https://bim-file.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/bim/plumbing-fixtures.bim
    https://bim-file.s3.us-east-2.amazonaws.com/bim/outdoor-kitchen.bim
    https://www.cadsoft.com/bim

Here is how you can import BIM catalogs
    https://www.cadsoft.com/importing-bim-catalogs/

Revit files are not compatible with Envisioneer but these other file types are:
    3D: (SKP, DXF, DWG,*3DS, IFC)
    Go to>File>import>object wizard>select>choose file type

Here are two popular 3D block databases:
    https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/?hl=en
    https://www.bimobject.com/en

More cabinets will be added to Envisioneer with new colors/textures/styles.

-Jon, what are some of the details you are looking for in cabinets to be tweaked, so I can add them to the feature updates wish list?

    Hope this helps
