tapered stone column base

    Could anyone tell me how to make a nice tapered stone column base like this??

    I’m also wondering if anyone has a tip on how to get a door like this?

    Conrad,

    Under, Columns, are two tapered columns that you can resize to get a similar result.

    Add a masonry cap on top to  replace the ones built into the tapered columns to get the concrete material cap.

    Hello Jack,

    Yea i did try those columns but he wanted it square for like the first 6″ on the bottom and then the taper 2′-6″ to 2′-0″  from there so what i ended up doing is creating one in sketchup and importing it was actually very simple now i wish i could just make a door in sketchup (except i’m not advanced far enough for that), cause i turned all the white to magenta and there’s small specs of purple all throughout the glass. This is for a ranch house in the west and they know exactly what they want. I’m really having fun as i’m going to be doing every room in the whole house.
