    Not using saddle trusses?

You need to modify your roof to reflect it’s final status, then insert MEMBERS (preferably ADVANCED) wrt the roof planes. Valleys will determine where each jack starts/stops.

ok thanks and no I was planning on using Girder trusses but couldn’t find any in truss options so I just put one in to show you what I meant. I’m still very new to Envisioneer.

and I’m also having a problem with my wall in kitchen I have a higher 8’9 1/8″ wall with a cathedral ceiling  and in the rest of house I have a 8’1/8″ wall and where the two walls meet it cuts it off on a angle how do I change that?

Best to get your roof correct, pitching heights for each plane . . .

Then where the wall rakes, set it’s Properties on the TOP & Bottom tab to “Auto Extend” with an appropriate offset. Note that the roof HAS to be on the same Location as the walls for this to work.

What is wrong when I try to change my roof to a double roof and extend it over my porch it just changes my other roofs and moves the peaks around

Easier to see what’s happened or what you’re trying to achieve if you’re in 2D Plan View

Have you watched Chantale’s Roof video on Cadsoft TV?

You need to know how far in the change in roof pitch will occur. Move your pitching line out to the front of the porch where the verandah beam will support it, then change it’s Roof Shape to “Double”. Edit the distance “f” for Surface 1 to your requirements .

I should add that when you move the roof pitching line & change it to double pitch, make sure you move it at least 1/16″ less than the porch width otherwise you’ll lose that front gable.

Increase the overhang by 1/16″ after moving . . .
