ROOF ISSUE

    TRYING TO CREATE A ROOF OVER A WOOD DECK. SHAPE OF HOUSE IS “L” SHAPED. PLEASE LOOK AT THE ATTACHED FILE AND PROVIDE ME SOME GUIDANCE. THE RED LAYOUT LINES ON THE DRAWING ARE THE NEW PROPOSED VALLEYS AND THE LVL BEAM IS THE NEW RIDGE. CAN’T FIGURE OUTHOW TO SHOW THE NEW ROOF AREA.

    Hello Hazelwood Not sure i saw you on here before so Welcome to the community:)
    Here is the plan with a roof on it not sure if this is what you were looking for or not.
    You will have to frame that area in with rafters so you’ll have to figure out your rafters you’ll be using (i don’t know what area you’re building in, so don’t know your building code) but that’ll decide your beam height for you.
    You can adjust the pitch to whatever height you want it to be. i just made it line up with house peak.
    You can also copy the fascia height over to make that line up house roof because every time you adjust peak the fascia height will change then you have to retype the height to make it match.
