    Hello community post.

Despite several attempts to import drawings created in Autocad Light 2014, the results have been less than impressive.

It seems only certain DWG file line types, rather than whole drawing are capable of being imported into the Envisioneer v16 model.

I’ve followed instructions from the video but alas, I’ve exhausted all efforts!! Can anyone point me towards a solution ?

    Hey welcome Eureka Building Designs,

    Great to have you!

There is no great way to import a dwg file but here is the best way.

Make sure you are in model view then click on file > import > cad file > import by layer then follow first pic below > step 2 go to your worksheet paper and (pic 2 below)

select define smartview > make sure the whole plan is showing and select insert> then do a left to place plan somewhere > do a left click on the plan you imported and it will be one solid drawing, so then you do a right click and hit explode and all should be correct be a correct size and then you will have to redo the dimensions and the text you should be able to select it and fix it.

Let me know if you have any further questions. Or if you can’t figure it out post the Dwg on here and I’ll put import it for you and send you the Drawing in Envisioneer format to help you out.

Or if you don’t want to post it on here my email is [email protected]

    Hope this helps you

    Conrad
