I have an HGTV-educated, DIY’er client who happened to hit the same nail on the head three successive times and is now a qualified design/construction expert that insists on saving his current gabled roof, but wants to add shed roofs over a new addition. (Note to self: check Favorites on potential new client’s TV remote control before accepting job.)
I finagled (that’s the smoke and mirrors part) his desired roof (see pdf), but now I need to come up with a real drawing and I have exhausted my limited knowledge of roofs. My concern is how to get the shed roofs to properly intersect with the existing roof. I’ve tried surfaces, but I think I am missing something. An additional befuddling factor is that the existing wall height is 8’ and the addition will be 9’.
It looks like I can only post one file, so please look for another post with a different view.
Any help and guidance will be appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank
