I have no idea how to do this. I’m an irrigation company owner. Purchased to upsale and design for existing customers and I’m starting with a little a garden at my own home to get used to the software. How do I add landscaping to an existing photo.

For a photo of the front / side or back of existing house.  This would be for a Camera View not a plan view.

You have to import the photo as a Photo Board.  Insert > Photo Board > then on right catalog hold cursor over and existing element > right click > select Add Element.

Lets say you just imported the front of the house.

Now you have to assign that photo to a ‘wall’ and size the photo to fit as best as possible the width of the front of the house.

So, you draw a wall to width of house. Select the wall and in Properties > Appearance> select the image you just imported as a photo board.

You can now, add a camera view looking at front of that wall, that has the image sized to fit the wall. Raising the camera up a bit and looking down, you can now add any paths, pads, flowers or trees to create your landscape.

To make this work in plan view, you have to import a top view, like from Google of the site, also as a photo board.

Then assign the top view photo board to a Surface or Pad or Floor that fits the site.

If you do not assign a photo board to something, you will not be able to see a picture and the plants . walks . driveways at the same time.

So begin by learning how to import a photo board and assigning it to something, a wall, floor etc.
