I created a circular vent and inserted it in an upper gable.  Each time it seems to leave a framing detail or artifact that extrudes above the roof line.  This element does not seem to be editable. (see below)  I also have another gable vent that needs to bridge two wall elements.  This is a great feature, but it does not seem to work consistently.  Is there a trick or process I am missing?  I got it to work in other locations by deleting and recreating the wall that I was inserting the window or vent, but not so when I tried to insert it in a second floor wall (see below).  Any suggestions?

    Hi Jeffery,

It looks to me that they are framing members.  If you go to View Filter > Walls and turn off Surfaces , my guess is you will see a framing stud extending up.

I cannot reproduce that issue in tests I’ve done.

I was able to center the vent by deleting the wall segments & creating one wall. Then I used the break tool.  That seem to do the trick.  But the framing artifact remains.  I do have to change the elevate parameters to place the vent.
