Envisioneer version 6.0 takes the next great leap in productivity saving you valuable time and greatly improving the communication process between you and your clients, consultants, and material suppliers. Version 6 makes the easiest to use Building Information Modeling (BIM) software even easier while delivering practical and effective tools to the building industry.

 

This new production tool allows you to visually locate and align your building elements with other objects in your project. Drastically reduce the amount of steps previously needed to a single point and click action.

 

SmartViews are a huge productivity enhancement that will save hours of time when drawing updates are needed. Changes made to your BIM model will now update all your SmartView plans, elevations and sections automatically throughout your entire project in seconds.

Graphical Intersection Solving
The new graphical wall configurator allows you to create and manage wall intersections with ease. A complete preview of your wall connections are now conveyed to assist you in fine tuning your framing solution.

Blocking / Nogging
Specify blocking / nogging at designated positions. Choose from wood blocking or steel bridging channel.

Lapping of Very Top Plates
You can now identify a lap distance in a continuous run of walls for a more accurate visual representation and reflection in the cut list.

 

New roof editing features solve complex situations in seconds. You can now move a roof edge and give the option of either maintaining or adjusting the support height. Another significant feature allows for the matching of selected roof planes with a master plane which is a huge time saver.

 

Edit your blocks and attributes on the spot simply by selecting them. Access the definition and attributes directly from the properties panel making changes fast and easy.

 

The new Catalog Manager introduces the editing of multiple objects at the same time. Select any number of elements and globally change parameters including size, material, and quantity information in a single step. Edit hundreds objects in minutes.

 

Additional information can now be extracted including Phase, Usage, Category, and Unit; essential criteria for advanced takeoffs and order delivery. Libraries have been created for each new item saving valuable time when entering repetitive data. Assemblies have also been improved and categorized into libraries which can be organized and selected from within the elements’ property pages.

 

The new Quote Generator allows you to define, customize and generate professional level quotes with a single mouse click. Create your own templates complete with company information and logos. Have total control over labor, one-time items, waste factors and markup. Quote Generator also provides you with the tools to manage your inventory and link to Point of Sale systems.

 

Create an Envisioneer BIM model from a PDF file in minutes. Import your PDF, then calibrate, scale, orient and crop the useful information necessary for the conversion. Track the PDF file to create your BIM model and then frame, analyze, optimize and generate renderings, construction documents and material takeoffs.

 

Envisioneer’s unique partnerships with industry leaders let you integrate with whole home structural analysis software. Directly communicate via the BIM model to value engineer, optimize, and reduce material usage with your material suppliers and manufacturers.

Additional New Features

All view commands can now be accessed through the right click
menu including the ability to add, copy, delete and access the View
Manager.

You can now copy views either from the View Manager or from the
right click menu on the view tabs.

A new Insert menu has been added to worksheet mode for speed
and convenience.

Using the new Snap Tracking feature, it is now a simple process to
recenter openings using the move command.

Dialog size and camera position will be retained allowing you to exit
and tweak the model in between rendering sessions.

Pathways are now constrained lengthwise when using grips to edit
and lengthen.

Insertion of floor by room now has option for insertion to wall core
or to wall surface.

Insertion of ceiling by room now has option for insertion to wall core
or to wall surface.

Room region insertion has added option of inserting to wall core or
to wall surface

Room schedules can reference the wall core or surface to extract
room areas, perimeters and volumes

When opening DWG files, color mapping on layers has been
improved as well as enhanced support for splines.

A none option has been added to the printer list.

Envisioneer version 6.1 is a free update to currently 6.0 clients. This exciting
new update delivers some highly requested features that makes Envisioneer
easier to use and more productive.

The following key features are enhancements since 6.0:

Perpendicular model snapping
Walls, floors, ceilings and members can now automatically snap perpendicular to the edge of other objects, making it much easier to align objects while inserting at angles.

Model view offset command
By popular demand, now you can select walls, lines and arcs in model view and simply offset multiple copies in a single command. A great time saver for faster design and layout.

20-20 Design® integration*
The 20-20 Design® Integration module is now available with version 6.1. Now you can import complete kitchens from 20-20 Design including cabinets, appliances, moulding, and countertops seamlessly into Envisioneer along with associated pricing, and SKU numbers.

Removal of vertical wall lines in elevations
Vertical lines in elevations and sections that appear as a result of wall intersections are removed in most instances, resulting in a cleaner SmartView drawing.

Force wall to exterior setting
Walls sides can now be tagged as being exterior which presents effective solutions to the following situations:

• Use of interior lights and sunlight at the same time
• Rendering of structures that do not have a closed perimeter
• Multiple gable end walls within other gable ends
• Single walls that need a veneer

Imported 3D objects can be used as cabinets
The Catalog Manager now allows for importing of DWG, DXF, SKP and XML files to be imported and used as a cabinet element. Imported geometry can also be used for quantity takeoff using assigned part numbers, pricing and additional data.

Sketchup® File import improvement
Scale is now properly controlled and set resulting in a cleaner model import from the Google 3D Warehouse® or the Sketchup sources.

Support for AutoCAD® 2010
AutoCAD DWG files are now supported up to and including 2010 format, for saving 2D drawings and for importing 2D drawings, details, and 3D content into the Envisioneer catalogs.

Shutter improvements
Shutters have been enhanced to allow for insertion on both the outside and the inside of walls, either independently or all at the same time.

Quantity takeoff improvements
Quantity takeoffs have been drastically improved to include the following feature enhancements:

• Consolidation of like members in the cut list
• Reduction in document size due to pruning of members
• Location variable now reports for individual elements
• Path and template location can now be set and changed for the Quote Generator
