Is anyone interested in tutoring me via Go to meeting or similar.
I have had this program for over 5 years and still can't produce one complete drawing.
I have to keep reverting back to Autocad LT for my drawings.
I worked all day today and maybe got a little more familiar with "Locations", But got stuck on some roofs.
I feel that I will still have to draw fine details (wall sections and foundation plans) in Autocad and import them, but I wish I didn't have to keep drawing detailed "Elevations.
So, If anyone is interested in tutoring me, please send me your rates and hours? To Gary @ glkirkbuilders@cox.net.

Thank you!

Have you looked at the iTrain videos, no training in your area? The iTrain are good, and pretty darn cheap when you think about it.
You say you've been going at it for some time.   Go back to basics, and draw a simple box house. Cut the locations down to one or two only.   Put some text on the model in plan view. Go to worksheet, drop the plan view in. Experiment with the View Layer in Worksheet view by turning text on and off to see the difference on screen.
If you can get a very basic design through to print stage, at least you know the line to take. Then come back and start mucking around with locations etc. Not understanding 'locations' or any number of customises only serve as distractions and road blocks to getting the basic job done.

Thanks for your reply CB.
I did get some direction from Ed Staelens. The man is a genius with this program and others.
I was able to create a good model with a shed dormer and an odd roof, some floor plans, elevations with adjusted size door and window schedules. I learned how to work with Title blocks, insert the drawings with all the variables.
I decided to use my Autocad LT drawings for the detailed sections and foundation plan, as this is an addition to a home.
The Kitchen builder Wizard is a very nice feature. Even learned how to copy to a pdf file, all with Ed's very knowledgeable expertize and help.
Thanks again Ed!
