Envisioneer Running but not Open
«

Every so often I have a problem when starting Envisioneer and get a message saying it is already running and to close the previous one before starting a new one. It has happened again now, so this time I started Task Manager to see what was going on.
On the Applications tab it does not show Envisioneer open but on the Processes tab it shows it as running. Because it is not Open I cannot close it, so the only option is to End Process but then I get a warning that this can cause the program to become 'unstable'.
Has anyone else experienced this and will it do any damage to End Process? Is there any other way to close it?
Allan

G'day Allan!
Early this year I had the opposite problem. "Envisioneer has stopped working . . ."
Toshiba Service Station assured me my video drivers were up to date but Nick advised that Intel had released a later version. It refused to install so had to download the zip file, extract it then update the driver via DevMan.
Problem Solvered until last month. Apparently Windows Update thought I needed a new video driver (told me it was from Intel) so I let it install. Problem only happened with complex bld's but happened several times a day. Penny (maybe that should be a 5 cent piece) finally dropped last week so I went through the same process all over again. All sweet again.
Woken by thunder an hour ago so got up to check if my Border Collie's OK and surprise, surprise, Windoze Update advises among other things that Intel has a new video driver for me! (among a bunch of others)
once caught, twice shy
