Why did no one tell me? By creating a rectangle from right to left you can perform a fence trim in v7.2

Hi Chris,

I don't understand what you are saying. Could you please describe the process?

As I understand the fence trim tool, by itself, requires that you select two points and the line you generate becomes the fence. How does this work with a rectangle?

You are talking about model view, correct?

G'day Jack & Chris!
This worked in v6 . . . . can't remember if it also did in v5
@Jack
This is just for worksheets. Once you've selected the object to trim to, you can select objects "by crossing" in acad terminology

I think Chris is referring to a CROSSING.

With worksheets dragging the mouse one way give you a solid rectangle which is a window, the opposite way is a crossing and is dotted rectangle.

The same as in AutoCAD.

So with trim, select the trim edge then use the crossing and it trims all lines selected by the crossing.

In MODEL both ways are a crossing.
