This may be a simple question. But in what application would you use this feature?  Thanks in advance for your reponse.

I use the Nudge repeatedly in all sorts of situations.  In V7 there are two settings, one for the arrow keys by themselves (I set this to 1mm) and one for the Control Key and the Arrow simultaneously (which I set to 25mm). You may want to use totally different measurements depending on what you are doing.

Probably the time I use it most frequently is to position the walls.  I just draw them very roughly then use the Nudge options to move the wall in 25mm increments and then 1mm increments to get it exactly where I want it. I move windows and doors into position the same way.

The fine 1mm Nudge I use a lot to put various objects together to make other objects as this way you can align them exactly - eg combining different pieces of furniture/cabinets to make other pieces. Similarly, placing an oven or dishwasher in a cupboard, moving things into position on cupboards and tables - anything where just small movements are required.

In short I use the Nudge to precisely move anything that moves!!
