Hi We had sent out an email regarding the launch of version 6. If you did not receive that email, you can find full details here: http://www.cadsoft.com/v6.php We would love to see you in Las Vegas for the launch party or in the virtual launch that we will do live from the party. We are doing training that entire day and the classes (both introduction and advanced) will be using the new version 6. If you want further instruction on Envisioneer these are both excellent classes to attend and meet the staff of Cadsoft. Many of us will be on hand during the classes and during the launch party.

Does anybody know the licensing for using Envisioneer on 2 computers? Is it like Sketchup where you can use only one at a time?

Good question.
Though, I am under the impression it is a licence per machine.

Hi Boys I have been able to use laptop and main Pc under one lic: I only use my laptop to take to Clients homes and show them their plans and make some change to the plans so they can see it. I am the ONLY ONE that uses this laptop. and also my main Pc We all have our own Pc/ laptops at home and that is were I work from not an out side office. I find it is better to go to my clients homes as it can suit them better Also I can leave quicker and not have them spending hours at my home when dinner is ready or when I have had enought. Chris

Chris +1 & I don't have to keep the office tidy - actually found a file yesterday that I'd not seen since the beginning of the year. Still can't find a folder for a job from May/June . . . . all the paperwork for the first half was clipped together but all the EO stuff? . . . ? Yes, PC & lappy here too - for the same reasons. Merv

Our license agreement allows for the install on 2 machines that will be used by 1 user. "1 to show and 1 to work" rule so you can go onsite with a laptop and work on a desktop at the office.
You will need to speak with your local dealers for pricing in local currencies.

I don't think we will know anything till the showing in Vegas.
Might get a leaked pdf if we are lucky?

Here's hoping! Ppl going to Vegas think they're lucky, going the other way they usually know better. Bit like dealing with the Qld government, you just can't win Merv

G'day Maurie! Well spotted. Did you try to download the "trail" version? or is that just for cowboys? on another page it was a "trali" download . . .

G'day Merv
The "trail" version is V5.
The info may also relate to V5, but I'm hoping "CAD drafting tools" & "Advanced CAD editing tools" means we will be a lot closer to AutoCad LT 95's 2D drafting & editing tools than we are now, and "Multi-view drawing layouts" is marketing speak for live views

That's a bit scary Chantale. Did anyone at Cadsoft really believe that the worksheets in V5, which lacks a method for calculating areas, multiple copies, champher, fillet with radius, curves in polylines, splines, repeating the last command & explodes imported circles into arcs, had "CAD drafting tools" & "Advanced CAD editing tools". I suppose we will know next week.
