Morning everyone

Could anyone find out what the costs are for the two add-ons? I really like the idea of the PDF to model engine!

The downside of these nice improvements is exactly as I predicted, " more expencive and ADDONS @ extra costs". One of these days.......

I could unfortunately not attend the demo, so would like to watch the video. I am very exited about this upgrade! Seen some VERY nice new features that will make life a breeze in this industry. Thank you Cadsoft for LISTENING AND DOING something about our wishes.

Have a nice day!!

From memory of the webinar, the pdf drawing function was around 500 usd.

Should hopefully be playing with the new version in a few weeks  Cheesy

This release has ticked off a few big wish lists items off of my list. The biggest was a major surprise,  was not expecting anything a long the lines of live views.

Cheers Cadsoft.

Morning Brownie

Does the views in draughting sheet keep the views the way we clean it up when it updates?

I also think $500 for a addon is a bit of a overkill.

I like the way it snaps to endpoints etc - HUGE advantage over jpgs (Project Trace Image) Will make life so much easier using manufacturers details now.

Almost certain that's what Brad said. iirc they're freebies if you upgrade during the Show.

Hello Everyone

I just want to clarify that the PDF import is free for those that joined us for the Launch, either live in Las Vegas or virtually. Otherwise it is 50% off until February 15th.

Thank you everyone for taking time out to visit us at the launch.

Hi Chantale
Sorry I thought I read in the V6 list on new features PDF was included .
Not a add on.
Am I right or wrong.
Better to clear this up sooner than later
If it is on the list of inclusions then why are some saying that PDF is extra
that means more monies Huh
Thanks
Chris

I am assuming any changes to the view in work sheets will be lost when you update the view.

I guess if people have not already put a lot of work into the layer settings for importing into worksheet, might pay to start soon.

Really interested to start working on the template to have our views ready to update.

G'day Chantale!
Does the pdf module snap to endp/midpoints in all types of pdf files?
I understand there are many types of pdf. I've seen an "a" mentioned as well as the list below from Wikipedia.

Anyone else had an issue where the trial randomly "forgets" the path to the Temp folder?
Originally I thought it was due to my dabbling with Quote Generator (QG.exe) but another user has the same without ever visiting or exploring QG. Yesterday after several hours & many autosaves he went to save the file but was refused due to "access"
He went back to Settings & the path was blank - same has happened here several times.
Also it refuses to remember that I always have Commander floating to the left of the minimize button (on my 2nd screen) with only the bottom edge of the word Commander visible.

Yes, please clarify this.  I thought I heard during the virtual launch that the PDF module was included in the 6.0 upgrade, then was told by someone at Cadsoft sales that the module needed to be purchased separately,  costing substantially more than the upgrade.  I declined to purchase either because of this revelation.  If the module is included I will gladly purchase the upgrade.

So...wassup?

To Clarify

The PDF import is a separate module to be purchased. If you attended the Launch - virtually or live in Las Vegas, our sales team has record of your attendance and you will receive the pdf import with your purchase of the upgrade. This was a limited time offer, so please do contact your sales representative for further details.

G'day Chantale!
Comments have been made regarding Brad's price for the pdf module vs price of upgrade. Surely there must be much more to the pdf module than this:
Quote
Create an Envisioneer BIM model from a PDF file in minutes. Import your PDF, then calibrate, scale, orient and crop the useful information necessary for the conversion. Track the PDF file to create your BIM model and then frame, analyze, optimize and generate renderings, construction documents and material takeoffs.
Sure you haven't included the ability to add bookmarks & hyperlinks to pdf files? You know I've been dreaming of that for ages!

Still confused.  I attended the Envisioneer 6.0 online launch seminar and heard that the upgrade was $295 for a limited time and included the PDF module.  Now I'm told that the deal was to pay either $295 for the upgrade alone, or $395 for the upgrade and the PDF module.  Can any other attendee refresh my memory?
