" Envisioneer - Getting Started
21000099, 03/21/2003 - 09:38 AM
My name is Carla, I just received my Envisioneer package yesterday and have some questions.
1. I need to import some custom textures for my designs. How do I bring in my paint chips that are in bmp format?
2. I also have some custom furniture blocks in 3DS format, How do I bring them in to use?
Look forward to chatting with everyone, I am a big fan of online forums and noticed that this one looks brand new - hope to see more than me here :)"

Hi Carla
Hope you are enjoying the software so far! I have outlined some tips for you below:
To import Paint Chips:
1. Go to Tools - Libraries - Materials
2. The Materials dialog box will appear. Highlight the Paint section and then hit the "" Add Item"" button (it looks like a plus sign with a green dot).
3. Type in a new paint name and hit enter.
4. Highlighted on your new paint name, hit edit.
5. The Edit Materials dialog box will appear. In the Texture tab, you will see the Texture Properties area. In that area you can relate a texture File to the new Material - i.e. your bmp paint chip files.
Furniture Blocks:
1. Go to Manage Catalogs. (Quick way to get there is in the "" Master Catalog"" area there is a button that looks like an open button, click on it and choose "" Manager Catalogs"" .
2. In the Element tab ( at the top of the dialog box) choose Furnishings and then hit "" Add Element"" (the plus sign with the green dot again.)
3. The Define Furnishings element dialog box will appear. Choose the last category, "" Miscellaneous"" and then choose Custom Block and click OK.
4. An Open dialog box will appear. You can then choose a dwg, dxf or 3DS file. Import your 3DS furniture file.
Enjoy the software! Chantale, Director Customer Service Group."
