Good Morning,

In response to both questions posted, the door that you see in my design is actually not even a door, it is a wall.  I broke the wall in two spots, and manually moved the walls to create a gap on both sides.  I then added in a member and made it look like hinges.  You can send me the file and I will take a look at it.  I can try and recreate that senario for you on your model if you would like.

In regards to the Bath Hub, if you are referring to the bench in the shower then no I used a member and gave it a different height and width and also modifed the material.  Using a wall will create breaks in the walls surrounding the shower.  If you are referring to the tub itself, this is a corner tub which is part of the catalog.

Thanks,
Nick

Same project, different drawing. Because I am remodeling several rooms, I am only drawing those rooms, and not the entire structure, using a combination of exterior and interior walls. After drawing the walls a few days ago, I can no longer add, edit, or delete certain elements of a very basic drawing without the whole thing crashing! Very frustrated!!!!!

Actually what I would like is some sort of instruction on how I can create a shower door myself using Program Help or a manual. How do you add a member and make it look like hinges? The learning curve for this program is becoming steeper...

For every file I have saved, there is a corresponding .bkp file. Is that normal?

Ping...

"How do you change the color and line style of Openings when there are no editable elements within the Properties window?"

"For every file I have saved, there is a corresponding .bkp file. Is that normal?"

"How do you add a member and make it look like hinges?"

"Is Kitchen and Bath remodel as huge elsewhere, as it is here in the snowy Denver, CO, US of A, metro area?"

Good Morning,

To modify the way the openings look you would select the wall and modify Openings under the Appearance Tab not the opening itself.

Yes for every file that you save it will create a BKP file.  This way if something were to go wrong with your drawing you have a file to go back to.  All you would need to do is rename that BKP file to BLD and that would allow you to open it in Envisioneer.

To make a member look like hinges all I did was I modified the dy1 and dy2 perimeters to be the size of what a hinge would be and then I modified the material.  You will also have to elevate it into place on the door.

I would say they are pretty big.  A great deal of home owners are now adding in kicthens and bathrooms into their basements and converting them into an additional liveable space.

Thanks,
Nick

Good Morning,

To add in a member you will go to the Building Tab and then select the Members Button.  In here you will select a member and then add it to the drawing and make any changes that you see fit.

Thanks,
Nick
