And I'm wrong again. (This is getting to be a disturbing habit!)

The performance and reliability problems appear to have been caused by a Floor-By-Room that was in the same plane as the slab that forms the floor of the entire structure. Envisioneer seemed to be totally confused when it tried to display the extra floor in 3D views. Took me a long time to discover it was there.

Repair Project didn't seem to consider it to be a problem, but I suppose the object wasn't itself "corrupt".

The extra floor was not present in the backup copy of my 2.5 drawing, so I must have placed it by accident in one of my first moments using 3.0, likely when I intended to click on Ceiling-By-Room, which is adjacent in the toolbar.

Now that the errant floor is gone, I'm greatly relieved to report that performance is on par with 2.5, and it hasn't hung once, despite extensive modeling I've done today in the area where Envisioneer was most touchy...the room that used to have the extra floor. I'm finally happy with v3.0.

I appreciate you following through with you impressions of v3.0

Hey, there is nothing wrong with software if everything is entered in an orderly fashion. The trouble with software is that we humans don't prethink everything out, and it takes a lot of time and practice to enter information in the order that works best with the software.

It took me ages before I could get "Build" to work efficiently for me.
