Drag-and-drop file target controls have been available for IE...AFAIK only IE...for a long time. I use one on Smugmug.com all the time to upload photos. The control can be surrounded by whatever HTML you can dream up, including FAQs. (Note their link to "this help section".) Way better than a file picker dialog!

But kind of a moot point. phpBB wrote this forum software, not Cadsoft. Speaking for myself, I'd rather see Cadsoft's development resources stay focused on Envisioneer 4.0 than forum software!
