Envisioneer 2.5 OR 3.0
Is it possible to save a wall section template, drawn in the Drafting tab, to the Walls Catalog? If I am constantly providing details to building departments during the submittal process, it would be nice to pull a pre-drawn 2X4, 2X6, or 2X8 wall plate/92 5/8" or 104 5/8" stud/plate/plate out of my catalog and slap it right onto the desktop window. And if Envisioneer had the capabilities to run and get me a beer so I could keep drawing...that would be nice, too...belch...

Good Morning,
Since Envisioneer has the capability to export and import dwg files you could draw you wall sections using the drafting tab and then export it out as a DWG. Then you could add that detail into the catalog so that you could then just place it into the drawing when you need it.

Nick, are you suggesting that it's possible to create custom walls such as this and have it be a wall that we can insert in plan view and that renders in section properly as well as displays in elevation too?
if so, this is great news because rarely do we design a home that your standard walls represent.

i kind of gave up on cadsoft and went back to autocad.
i'm still trying to lean cadsoft but my clients pay for finished products and I can only do everything that they expect with ACAD.

Good Afternoon,
This type of wall will only be represented in the 2D form by using the drafting tab. It will not be a part of the models wall and will not show up in 3D view. It would have to be created in the drafting tab.
