OMG OMG OMG

Just been watching Jacks Roof video and he had two model views running at once... 1 plan view and 1 cutaway...

Why didnt anyone ever tell me that you can more than 1 active window showing at a time?

I have now set it up so that 3d view is on one monior and 2d view is on other monitor and I can see what is going on....

Wow I never knew I could do that!!!!!

That should be tip of the week Chantale!!!!

Now what else can it do that is as good..

I must be missing loads of good stuff?Huh

Casey

I am sure that Jack will give you more details but here is what I do...

Make Env7 an unlocked window and drag it over the 2 monitors.

Unlock all the windows with Env 7 so that all sheets are floating.

Go to view manager and add a model view and a new model tab will appear at bottom of screen

select it and drag on model view to each screen and size them.

Then 1 can be set as plan view and the other as camera or dynamic cutaway etc

Adjust somthing in 1 view and it updates it in the other view.

As I say I am sure Chantale or Jack can expain it better

Here is another concept I use  (in TFP so I'll guess it is same in Env.)...

Make the window view screen larger and have all the "tabs" open on the second monitor.....

In prog settings, make all toolbars..including camera etc. all as floating and drag them all to second monitor...I make the camera/properties/catalog window large for easier viewing and sorting thru catalog item lists.

Arrange on screen grouped as convenient for you.  TFP remembers so next session they will be there when prog starts.

That leaves the drawing window area larger so you can then have two "windows" open....such as a floorplan view and 3D view...or a wide and zoomed view (you can do more than 2 windows at a time too; such as 3 or 4).

here is a screen shot of my setup which may be a bit unique:

2 matching monitors each 24"  1920x1200  (Dell U2412)

Primary = landscape
secondary = portrait (for ease of reading portrait docs/ viewing images and not having too wide a view)
