I am completing Training Videos on Roofs.

They should be available for shipment next week. This is the first in a series of 'Advanced' training videos I will be doing. It will cover roof basics for those new to the program and then go into those advanced roof configurations that will take the frustration out of working with Roofs.

If you are interested in learning how to configure a variety of roofs or how to handle a specific projects roof, these videos are sure to get you what you need.

I am offering them to Envisioneer forum users for $40 + shipping and handling.

I will ship to Austrailia / New Zealand / Europe via US Postal Service. Slower but less costly. Payments will be made via Pay Pal which takes Credit Cards and results in no need for me to be involved in the transaction.

Give me a general idea of you location and by weeks end I will send you a PDF file going over the details of the videos along with the total cost including shipping to your locale.

I hope sales are good enough to warrant making more videos on Advanced Envisioneer topics.

Please email me at (edit).......  jack@zimmerdesign.com ..........to get more information on this introductory offer.
Please add 'ROOF VIDEOS' in the email subject line

thanks,

Jack Zimmer

This one made it in the Advanced Training Vids.
After doing all the basic roofs and the rules involving roofs, a second set of vids cover advanced roof styles
and
the concept of reverse engineering where I dissect some of my previous work ... which allows users to see a variety of techniques used to create a full model.

taking me a bit longer , but I want things right.

Looks like two sets of videos, basic and advanced. Most skilled users would just need advanced.

Roof Training Videos should be done this week. I will post more details as I complete the PDF file.

I am combining both 'Basic' and Advanced tutorials into one release. It just seems the best way to handle things.

Sample minus the Indexing

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5gLuYoTTmZk&feature=youtu.be

There will be 3 portions to them.

The Basics will discuss how to make a number of roofs and will be very detailed in technique discription. Roof start at Gabled, Gambrel, Stepped, Shed, Mansard, Hip with Deck, Flat and then progress to styles like  Turret, Dome, Vault , Dutch Gable, Dutch Hip, Cross Hip, Cross Gable (end).

Following that will be a free for all section where I record live, both visual and voice and you see all the mistakes being corrected live. some of the roofs included are Salt, Clearstory, Bonnet, Octagon, Pentagon, GreenHouse Glassed,

The last section will have few notes on screen but Indexed and narrated and I will Reverse Engineer at least 4 hopefully 5 complete home designed roofs using everything from Breaks, Surfaces, Elevated, Arched, Vaulted, Cut Openings, Valley Flashing , Trim, add Nodes,  etc to let you see how complex whole roofs were made.

I sure hope it is worth the effort.

Introductory price for about 300 mb of compressed videos, close to two hours, is $40.

I hope to have them as downloads / but can put to CD and ship if needed +SH..

Feel free to contact me if your interested and I'll be more motivated to get them done and out there :-)

I almost have the roof videos done.
Basic to Advanced.
2 hrs ++, 22 videos + , 350mb (hopefully downloadable) , introductory price = $40.

The first two videos discuss program interface, settings, options etc

This video is the first of the of the 9 that cover the basics. Then there will be about 8-10  more covering advanced roofs, some 14 min long.

Feel free to email me if your interested in purchasing when they are available next week. I hope to have them on my website but I'm not sure. Payment would be through Pay Pal.

I think they 'kick ass'... (pardon my French)

Hi Jon,

I don't have them posted yet. I decided to add a few more videos, close to 25 in total. I hope to have the package done by Wed and available Thursday 1.18.02

I will contact you directly either when they are posted or where you can downloaded.

I have a number of inquiries and I will first take care of those who have contacted me directly.  (if I don't get an automated download up this week). I wish I was better with handling website stuff :-)

thanks,

Jack

I'm still adding to the Roof Training vids. Each one takes on an average, 6 hours to record, edit, add voice over, check , produce as flash. Then all have to be compiled for ease of access and of course made available.

So, I've posted another sample, sorry for the delay.

YouTube sure ruins the visual quality. I guess I have to upload much larger files to get to HD... I'm still learning about YouTube.

 Smiley

IF YOU THINK THAT IS GOOD, WAIT TILL YOU SEE WHAT ROOFS CAN REALLY DO,, IN THE VIDS.

NOT SHOUTING, JUST EDITING VIDS AND TOO LAZY TO TURN CAPS OFF.

I FIGURED OUT HOW TO PRODUCE THEM AS A SWF INSTEAD OF A FLV FILE , BOTH RETAIN THE TABLE OF CONTENTS BUT WITH PROPER SETTINGS SWF IS ALMOST 1/2 THE SIZE.

LOOKS LIKE INSTEAD OF 500 MB THEY WILL BE CLOSER TO 300+ MB FOR DOWNLOAD. I WILL SHIP CD IF NEEDED.

SCREEN SHOT OF ACTUAL VIDEO AS SEEN WHEN VIEWED IS ATTACHED.
