Referencing URL database
«
on:
July 21, 2011, 05:10:55 PM »
How should URL's be saved for personal reference? Several that I have saved over time are now unusable. This one
http://www.cadsoft.com/customercare/viewtopic.php?t=5568
doesn't go anywhere, even with a 1 inserted.
Have they been taken off the board? Can they be located again?

G'day Chris!
Is this the one you were looking for?
http://www.cadsoft.com/forum/index.php/topic,5568.0.html
Maybe has something to do with the migration from phpBB to SMF?

Hi Merv
How did you get that? If you go to that page there is another reference from your comment which goes nowhere. How would you convert that one? Did you manually change the URL?

Notice the 5568 is common?
I just took a stab in the dark that php handles internal links differently.
pasted 5568 into the location bar where the other number was & that's where it took me.

Just goes to show you that even in this day and age of technology you still need to have an axe and a roll of wire

or a shifter & screwdriver. If it still won't budge, screwdriver substitutes for cold chisel & shifter does the job of a hammer!
