I saw this last year when you first posted it. Can you go through the steps on how you made up that scaled image with dimensions on it.

Hi Nicolo,
The image for the measuring stick was make in TurboCAD. In model view set to 1:1 scale and feet and inches (metric for metric stick), I created a perfect 6" x 9' rectangle set to white.
Then I took the line tool and made lines to represent each of the marks that would be equal to 1'/ 1" / 1/2" ,
Then added scaled text to represent the number.
Saved as a jpg.

Thanks for the idea..
When I get the time I plan to make an image from a 4m leveling staff as it will save having to zoom in and out so much as you can take reading from a distance.
Will post it when its done - unless anyone with more time beats me to it.
Just need to find a better resoution level pic to map onto the staff
