[Cadsoft Latinoam]

This is from an earlier posting from "JRV" a frequent visitor with many wonderful suggestions for Cadsoft clients. Please use his steps below to save a screen shot of your views when posting:

1. Press Alt + PrintScreen to capture only the active window (not including Desktop, Taskbar, or anything else of extreme disinterest).

2. Open Paint. (Start - All Programs - Accessories)

3. Click Image/Attributes or press Ctrl + E and set the size to 1 x 1 pixel. Paint saves this setting, by the way, so you only need to do this once. It's real handy for screen shots, which is about all I use Paint for.

4. Press Ctrl + V to paste the image. Paint resizes the bitmap to exactly fit the image. If you're on Windows 2000 or lower, you have to answer a moronic prompt that tells you Paint will resize the image. Windows XP removes that nuisance.

5. Click the Crop tool, upper right on the toolbar.

6. Crop to the area of interest.

7. Press Ctrl + C to copy to the clipboard.

8. Press Ctrl + N to create a new image and press N when prompted to save the file.

9. Press Ctrl + V to paste the cropped image. Use Paint's drawing tools to add callouts if it helps explain the issue.

10. Press Ctrl + S to Save As. Choose JPG format.

11. Add the file to your Cadsoft support board post as an attachment.

Of course if you're using Vista or Win7, their Snipping Tool (START - ALL PROGRAMMES - ACCESSORIES - Snipping Tool) is a much easier solution.
If you're smart enough to have Env running on a mac, I can't help. I'll have to consult my macaholic stepson
